To engage, empower, and inspire young professionals in Western Pennsylvania and Morgantown to participate in charitable and leadership endeavors and to build awareness of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Pittsburgh and Morgantown. We believe in reflecting a group that is inclusive and diverse and we believe that there’s always a place at the table for anyone with a heart for the House.
The Red Shoe Society of Pittsburgh and Morgantown is dedicated to the collective goal of helping to make a difference in the lives of families with children receiving medical treatment at the Ronald McDonald House in Pittsburgh or in Morgantown. Through our monthly virtual meeting, we connect, we brainstorm, and we act on ways to support the patient families staying at the House and the work of the Care Mobile. We have 3 committees that focus on specific ways to enhance the Red Shoe Society’s goals:
- Membership and Internal Engagement
- Fundraising and External Engagement
- Volunteering and Awareness
In addition to supporting the efforts of the Charity, the group is meant to be a networking tool, as well as a resource to offer personal and professional opportunities to members. We believe in providing a membership that offers fun and one-of-a-kind experiences, leadership endeavors and the unifying factor of a philanthropic passion for the mission of the Ronald McDonald House in our community.
