Development Associate, Corporations & Foundations

  • Researches and analyzes corporate and foundation prospects.
  • Conduct primary and secondary research to determine interest and giving potential.
  • Work closely with operations and finance to research and identify grant opportunities based on funding amount needed, location, and organization project.
  • Establish and maintain personal contact and relationships with corporate and foundation contacts and program officers.
  • Track and create a calendar of grant opportunities – including deadline dates, required materials, etc.
  • Prepare letters of intent, proposals and reports for current and prospective funders, with a focus on corporate and foundation supporters taking particular care to ensure all necessary attachments are submitted with accuracy and on time.
  • Be able to effectively describe any organizational project, the cost to accomplish the project, and the expected outcomes.
  • Compellingly articulate the mission, vision, and exceptional attributes of the Charity in language directed to specific corporation and foundations.
  • Prioritize grants to apply for (based on size of grant and time funding is released).
  • Arrange, conduct and coordinate cultivation, stewardship and recognition activities such as on-site signage, recognition in publications and on-site visits for corporate and foundation donors.
  • Work with the database administrator maintain and update donor records in the database including mailing list tags.
  • Work with staff members to pull mail, email, and donor lists from the database for solicitations and stewardship purposes.
  • Identify, cultivate and solicit corporate partners for Mission Partnerships, room/apartment sponsors, event sponsors
  • Work in collaboration with CEO and Development Director to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward major donors ($5k+ gifts)
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Ronald McDonald House Pittsburgh – Housekeeper

  • 20-25 hours per week experience preferred, but not necessary
  • Must be reliable customer service oriented
  • Responsibilities include maintaining a high standard of cleanliness for guest apartments and common areas
  • Criminal background, Clearances 33 & 34 required.
  • Must be fully COVID vaccinated
  • Position requires lifting up to 50lbs.

Ronald McDonald House Pittsburgh – Guest Relations

  • 20-25 hours per week
  • Responsibilities include supporting front desk operations, registration of guests, administrative and data entry.
  • Must be able to work some evenings and weekends.
  • Customer service experience, must be reliable and detail-oriented.
  • Criminal background check, clearances 33 & 34 required.
  • Must be fully COVID vaccinated
  • Position requires lifting up to 20lbs.
