Marketing and Creative Specialist

Summary:
Reporting to the Development Director, the Marketing and Creative Specialist will execute and coordinate key marketing communication tactics across all media including print and digital from a design, production and implementation perspective for RMHC. Additionally, the specialist will translate marketing plans into integrated and executable tactics to support the development, volunteer, marketing, and guest relations strategies.

Essential Duties and Functions:

  • Assist in defining and protecting the integrity of RMHC’s brand and all uses. Communicate branding guidelines to external audiences.
  • Develop graphic designs and manage collateral for all RMHC efforts and needs, including development solicitations, events, stewardship, volunteer programs, guest relations, and social media.
  • Coordinate the production and distribution of promotional and collateral materials for all RMHC efforts and needs, including development solicitations, events, stewardship, volunteer program, guest relations, and social media.
  • Coordinate and maintain RMHC’s social media messaging with an aesthetic that is consistent with the overall RMHC branding.
  • Work collaboratively to prepare a social media plan, timelines, and priorities for individual events/activities as well as those with an institutional focus.
  • Take independent and creative responsibility for the social media outreach with a concentration on RMHC awareness.
  • Build a creative, dynamic, consistent, and interesting social media voice that encourages lively engagement from audiences.
  • Maximize events, press, promotions, and outreach in the social media platforms.
  • Develop and implement social media platforms that speak to our type of non-profit services and programs. Platforms to include Facebook, lnstagram, Twitter, Linkedln, etc.
  • Cross-pollinate said platforms with the families, donors, volunteers, and other engaged nonprofit and RMHC Global branding messaging.
  • Create and coordinate email newsletter/announcements in line with individual events and institutional goals.
  • Make recommendations for the buying of and coordinate the placement of paid advertisement in both print and digital media.
  • Develop timely reports and make recommendations on results and activities of social media and email communications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Preferred three years of graphic design and social media experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient Microsoft office, project management and social media skills.
  • Interest, enthusiasm and affinity for non-profit organizations and working with people.

Requirement:
Background Clearances: this position requires lifting up to 20 lbs with frequent lifting/carrying of up to 10 lbs. The position also requires walking, standing, and sitting.

Fair Labor Standards Act Status: non-exempt

Ronald McDonald House Morgantown – Guest Relations

  • 20-25 hours per week
  • Responsibilities include supporting front desk operations, registration of guests, administrative and data entry.
  • Must be able to work some evenings and weekends.
  • Customer service experience, must be reliable and detail-oriented.
  • Criminal background check, clearances 33 & 34 required.
  • Must be fully COVID vaccinated
  • Position requires lifting up to 20lbs.

  • 20-25 hours per week experience preferred, but not necessary
  • Must be reliable customer service oriented
  • Responsibilities include maintaining a high standard of cleanliness for guest apartments and common areas
  • Criminal background, Clearances 33 & 34 required.
  • Must be fully COVID vaccinated
  • Position requires lifting up to 50lbs.
