Ronald McDonald House Pittsburgh Holiday Help
A Special Message Regarding Our Volunteer Programs

In response to the ongoing developments related to COVID-19, we have had to temporarily suspend our on-site volunteer programs. However, you can still volunteer off-site to participate in any of the following ways.

 Sponsor a Meal

At this point in time, meals are our greatest need at our Charity. There are a few different ways to help the families with a meal or food.

  • Support your local restaurants by donating a take-out meal to be delivered to Ronald McDonald House Pittsburgh. You can contact a restaurant/catering company of your choice and schedule a delivery. We can work together to find a date that works well for our meal calendar.
  • You can choose a restaurant or grocery store for takeout/pick up and arrange to pick up/drop off the meal on a day that we schedule together. For example, this can be food served hot or frozen food in bulk from a grocery store and our staff can prepare it on site.
  • You can call us with your payment information & budget, and we will make arrangements on your behalf. We can choose one of our restaurant/catering partners and a delivery date.
  • You can donate towards a meal directly on our website by donating here,  just make sure to click “donate a meal Pittsburgh” in the drop box. The funds will come directly to us for food and we will use them when we have a day without a meal. An automatic thank you/ tax letter will be emailed to you after donation.
  • Donate gift cards to restaurants or grocery stores to provide meals for our guests.

** Just a reminder that no food can be prepared or cooked at home.

Pull Tab Program

Schools, offices, community groups and individuals can help our charity by collecting aluminum pull tabs. The tabs can be taken to a local scrap metal yard and weighed for cash. Donate the proceeds to us and the money is then used to support our mission. You can also drop off the pull tabs curbside at Ronald McDonald House Pittsburgh. Please note that all pull tab donations will be curbside until further notice.

 P.O.P. Fundraisers

Hosting your own fundraiser is a wonderful way to support the mission of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Pittsburgh and Morgantown and now you can do it through our Projects of Passion (P.O.P.) program. All you have to do is take your passion and turn it into a fundraiser. Be as creative as you want. Work with a group or individually. You decide! Learn more about P.O.P Fundraisers.
